Regional Identity in the Doc Martin clip

Regional Identity is what you can learn about the region where the clip is set by looking at things like the dialog of characters, clothing and the set.

The Dialog can can apply a lot about the region for example in the Doc Martin clip one of the workers uses the term 'Bogmin' which is clarified as a local word by Doc Martin not knowing what it means. When the water starts to leak into the room the old worker is very laid back which could mean he is from the country as people are seen to be more relaxed in the country than the city, however Doc Martin becomes stressed which implies that he is not from the country and more likely to be from the city.

The country region is also shown through the two workers accents at the start of the clip and is the most  common accent that we hear, although Doc Martin has upper class town accent which make it obvious that he is not from the region that the scene is set.

The clothes show the region that characters are from for example Doc Martin is wearing a suit which implies that he is from the city which is also shown in his accent as well
