There are many examples of mise-en-scène in the Doc Martin clip:
- Dark rooms and Small doors can suggest that they are in a old place, we find out more when we see narrow road and hills in the background as it makes it clearer they are in a village in the country.
- When Doc Martin writes a prescription in the middle of the street it suggest that where they are is more relaxed in the country
- You can see that there is no major crime where the scene is set due to police officer having time on his hands to hover.
- Boxes in the room may be suggesting that Doc Martin has just moved in.
