Comparing Avatar and Trainspotting

Avatar names several previous films which the director, James Cameron, has directed. In Trainspotting, one film is named that was made by the same company.
Avatar uses animation makes it makes it look more expensive but this is also why it was so expensive to make. Also all the equipment, props and large amount of characters all add to the complexity of the trailer therefore making it appear to be the more expensive film compared to Trainspotting. Also Hollywood films are hard to compete with as the have much more money than any UK production companies.
